This beautiful Lake House Mansion has it all with an impressive 12,000 sq. foot layout! It's truly the perfect destination for your family's needs and desires! All of the amenities to make you feel at home during your stay. Gorgeous views, several sitting areas, private bedrooms, 8 fireplaces, 10 TVs, on site laundry and plenty of room in the big kitchen for meals and entertaining. The downstairs great room is a kid friendly area to hangout, play games or lounge on the sectional sofa and watch movies.
The floor plan separates the kitchen area from the majority of the bedrooms, so those early to bed or late to rise will not be disturbed. Sleeps up to 20 guests! 5 private bedrooms/bathrooms (2 king beds, 3 queen beds) and kids bunk room downstairs ( 2 bunk beds,queen top and bottom; 1 futon bunk bed, twin on top).
Summer months are great for soaking up the sun boating, kayaking and fishing. Bring your own boat or rent our pontoon for a daily fee. Large backyard for games, and peaceful evenings with friends and family roasting marshmallows around the campfire. Winter doesn't mean you have to stay home cooped up! Whether you love to enjoy the snowy outdoors or want to snuggle cozy by one of the fireplaces this Mansion makes for wonderful winter escape. Ice fishing, snow shoeing, sledding and snowmobiling are some great winter activities.

Do you have over 20 guests needing to stay, or wanting a bit more sleeping space? We have an additional area available to rent that can accommodate up to 8 more guests if needed during your stay. These rooms are connected off the downstairs great room. 2 private bedrooms with queen beds; 2 futons in living room area.

We are located about 10 miles off interstate I-94 in Colfax , WI. Little over an hour away from St. Paul/Minneapolis (MSP Airport, Mall of America). Wood bury ,MN (Wood bury outlet malls) 45 mins away. Eau Claire, and Chippewa Falls are also about 45 minutes away. 15 minutes from down town Menomonie.

Cottage Winery, Lucette Brewery , Golf courses, Red cedar Speedway , WoodWind Park, Hoffman Hills State Recreation, Valley Pasture Pumpkin Patch, Govin Farm and more family entertainment less than 15 mins away from this amazing property!!!

Jake's Supper Club, Pioneer Grill & Saloon and Elk Point Resort are easy access by boat or vehicle. Jake's has three decks and a fabulous Tiki bar over looking the lake with live bands every weekend in the summer months. Pioneer Bar & Grill is walking distance from Jake's Supper Club, in a country setting with great entertainment! Elk Point Resort has karaoke every Saturday night and put on the BEST firework show every year on July 3rd. Great food and fun atmosphere! All of these nearby restaurants are accessible by water or land.

Tainter Lake is approximately a 1605 acre lake located in Dunn county. It has a maximum depth of about 37 feet. Depending on the weather in the summer months, the water clarity can be low due to algae growth. Later in the summer months this lake is not the best for swimming. May until July are the best months for swimming , but still a great sized lake for boating, kayaking and fishing!

This beautiful Lake property has an ideal location and offers tranquility and relaxation but still within a manageable drive to any desired attraction. Really a unique place!!!

Refundable Damage Deposit & Payments:
Damage Deposit of $1,000 and half of total payment is required along with signed contract to reserve dates requested if check in day is more than 90 days. If check in day is less than 90 days away, total payment is due ASAP with signed contract to secure your dates. Damage Deposit will be refunded within 1 week after stay if property is not damaged. Damage Deposits and all payments will be made by cash, personal check or certified bank check made payable to:

Cancellation Policy:
If your plans change, please contact us immediately. Cancellations made greater than 90 days to your arrival you will forfeit half of your payment made (not including refundable damage deposit). Cancellations made less than 90 days will forfeit entire payment.

Mattoon Rentals does not accept any responsibility for damages to or loss of any articles or property left at the Mansion on Lake Tainter prior to, during or after your stay. Mattoon Rentals are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises. Any visitors in the property are the sole responsibility of guest staying at the property. Security cameras are on/around entire Mansion on Lake Tainter property.
